MARLYN CHEMICALS
Marlyn Chemicals is a leading specialty chemicals supplier to the mining sector within Southern Africa, Letsema acquired 100% of Marlyn in 2023.
Marlyn has been operational since 1990, with a key focus on gold mining, but this has since been expended to other mining commodities such as chrome, platinum, vanadium, zinc, diamond and copper mining.
Marlyn operates across Southern Africa in countries such as South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, DRC, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Malawi, Swaziland, Angola, and Tanzania.
Marlyn has its own established laboratory and offers technical product support, quality assurance and in-field technical backup and trouble shooting, the laboratory can perform a range of tests including pH, turbidity, weight, density, particle size distribution, abrasion along with compositional elemental analysis via ED-XRF, as well as on-site flocculant optimisation.
Marlyn maintains substantial warehousing and liquid storage facilities to hold stock to meet customers’ requirements, on time. Marlyn has extensive trading experience in the supply and delivery of bulk and specialised chemicals, with long standing relationships with specialist transport contractors who have extensive experience with Hazchem and Non-Hazchem deliveries across the SADC region.
